work.

Our business is the coffee shop and Bed and Breakfast on Main Street, so we are fortunate enough, not only to be involved daily in the happenings of our town and its colorful people, but also to meet and get to know visitors from all over the world.

As well as helping run our coffee business, Casey is a jeweler working in gold, silver and precious stones. He has a studio behind the coffee shop where he creates his hand-crafted jewelry. He sells his work in a gallery down the  street.  You can view it at http://metallogallery.com/CDuncan.html.

We feel so fortunate to live and work in a small town together.  We love the little things that make it so great - walking to work, having lunch at home together and seeing each other throughout the day.  But most of all, we love the flexibility our businesses allow.  We have the ability to raise our child without additional childcare, as our flexibility allows one of us to always be at home with our child.

When we’re not working, we’re having fun! We both have dirt bikes, mountain bikes and stand-up jet skis. Casey’s interests include rock crawling, motocross and sand sports. He has raced downhill skateboards, and has been featured in Concrete Wave magazine with his skateboarding team.

In the winter, we both ski and snowboard. Casey worked a number of winters as a ski instructor to children at our world-class ski basin. In the summer, we spend most weekends with a group of close friends and their kids, camping at an area lake where we wakeboard, jet ski, fish and sailboard. These overnight excursions always culminate in a campfire each evening with the kids serving up s'mores for all.

At home, we walk out our back door and can hike all day without  seeing a car, house or another person.  It's common on a weekend hike to see hawks, jack rabbits, and a rare mountain goat.  Nancy often provides a backpack ride to friends' kids who want to go on an adventure.

Our active lifestyle is family-friendly and will easily incorporate a child.  We enormously look forward to sharing our love of the outdoors and fun activities with our son or daughter.
